The Armenian Glaucoma Society (hereinafter also referred to as the Organization) is a public society of citizens of the Republic of Armenia, citizens of foreign countries, stateless persons and/or legal entities and has the status of a non-commercial organization.

 

The organization, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Public Organizations, independently determines its organizational structure, scope of activity, goals and forms. The organization has an independent balance account. The organization carries out activities arising from its statutory goals, and the goals of the organization are defined by this charter.

 

The organization operates throughout the territory of the Republic of Armenia and in foreign countries in accordance with the legislation of those countries. The scope of the organization’s activity, in accordance with the law, is:

development of draft legal acts in the field of glaucoma;

development and support of procedures aimed at providing glaucoma services in line with international standards;

provision of professional literature to organization members;

organization and facilitation of professional training and training courses for members of the organization;

publication of professional journals and books;

development and application of the code of conduct and professional conduct of the members of the organization;

implementation of research works in the field of glaucoma, as well as related fields;

provision of legal, organizational and other advisory services to its members within the limits of the organization’s statutory activities;

coordination, analysis, generalization and dissemination of expertise of glaucoma organizations;

cooperation with international organizations and glaucoma organizations of foreign countries for the purpose of exchange of experience and networking;

development of legislation for the improvement of the healthcare system and the introduction of glaucoma and the development of recommendations on it;

provision of optometric assistance and services to citizens;

diagnosis of eye diseases, organization of specialized medical care for people suffering from eye diseases;

provision of consultative-methodological assistance to medical care and service providers for the purpose of timely detection of eye diseases, correct diagnosis and organization of further professional treatment;

introduction of modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, new medical techniques, equipment.

organization and implementation of glaucoma examination.

organization of scientific seminars and conferences dedicated to the modern methods of prevention, diagnosis, treatment of new forms of eye diseases;

implementation of scientific and medical research, both independently and in joint programs with other commercial and non-commercial organizations;

participation in the development and implementation of national medical programs implemented in the Republic of Armenia;

participation in the development and implementation of modern models, mechanisms and norms for the organization, management, financing and management of healthcare.

according to the established procedure, participation in the implementation of thesis and post-thesis education of medical specialists;

participation in the development and implementation of medical standards;

implementation of medical-hygienic education of the population and other measures aimed at the prevention of diseases in the prescribed manner;

cooperation with health and other institutions, organizations, companies of foreign countries;

implementation of other activities aimed at the implementation of the statutory goals of the organization.
